Sunday, August 29, 2010 - lots of different fruits, cherries, raspberries, blackberries, but too much heat on the nose and palate. 15+ABV and boy did it show.
Monday, August 02, 2010 - Good at this pricepoint, but overall not very well-balanced. Hot on nose and on palate approach, alcohol overpowered fruit a bit. Nice blend of varietals, but the full flavors never emerged through the heat. Short finish, medium palate density.
Sunday, July 04, 2010 - Great easy drinking wine with soft tannins, medium body and decent finish. PLenty of fruit, including rasberries, a little cherry, and some pepper.
Friday, June 04, 2010 - Smell - strawberry, cherry, peppry, oak, and razz taste - light weight, medium tannin, peppery, syrah like finish that sat.
I thought this was a great tasting, easy drinking wine. The tannin were nice and light, which made easy to drink and pick apart. On the finish the syrah in the blend began to set in. This is a really nice wine though. I'm sure its a great value and will go great with dishes such as pork, chicken, lamb, quail - anything that is bogged down with a heavy rich sauce. anything that has a great smokiness of a grill will be an incredible paring. very enjoyable rhone style blend.
Saturday, December 26, 2009 - 15.0% alcohol. A Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre blend. A ripe, sweet, smooth and softer textured, lower acid and tannin, easy drinking wine with notions of raspberries, plums, and kirsch. To me, the Grenache seems more prominent than the other varietals at the moment. Ready to drink. Dinner at Northeast Social.
Monday, November 02, 2009 - Berry/cocoa nose. Somewhat flat on the palate bit has a decent finish. Will re-taste after a bit. Second day wine seemed to have improved. Slightly peppery, heavy berry taste, just a tad sweet for my liking.
Monday, October 26, 2009 - Very nice red with decent body, complexity and staying power. Drank well over several days; in fact, this wine was at its best about day 2 after opening. Bought another to hold for a few years. Good price point (18 dollars).

Monday, June 07, 2010 - OK, but would not buy again. Very big and plush. Fell apart after 48h, most of the fruit gone leaving a very awkward wine.

Tuesday, April 27, 2010 - A solid every-day wine. Soft tannins, raspberry and strawberry with a bit of jamminess and a short finish, but pleasant.

Friday, April 23, 2010 - The first glass was good but it got tiresome after that. A little too simple on the palate. One note.

Much more structure than prior vintages. Will log the tasting note later this evening.
