Monday, September 06, 2010 - color: dark purple; nose: faint raspberry; taste: full, fruit jam mouth feel and taste, chocolate and toasted coffee on mid-palate, lush finish with a little spice; overall: over-the-top, no-holds-barred fruit bomb that reminded me of a rich Australian shiraz (Shotfire, for example), possibly too heavy for pairing w/Thanksgiving fare.
Tuesday, August 24, 2010 - color: dark ruby red-purple; nose: oak and cherry -- typical shiraz profile; taste: initial impression of medium-body fruit jello candy, hollow mid-palate, shortish cocoa-chocolate fruity plum finish; overall: OK -- but tastes a little fake, wants to show polish and verve but doesn't quite pull it off, not as good as same-year peers Peter Lehmann Shiraz, Layer Cake Shiraz, or even cheaper Woop Woop Shiraz.
